Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
Who is this course aimed for?
This course is aimed at anyone working in a manufacturing, catering or retail where food is preparedm cooked and handled. To achieve a good standard of food maintence and hygiene they need to be trained.
Qualification covers the following topics for Level-2 Food Safety in Catering:
* Microbiological Hazards (bacteria)
* Food poisoning and its control
* Contamination hazards and controls
* HACCP from purchase to service
* Spoilage and preservation
* Food handlers and personal hygiene
* Food premises and equipment
* Food pests and control
* Cleaning and disinfection
* Food safety law and enforcement
Assessment Method
To achieve the certificate, candidates must get a minmum of 20 correct answers within an hour. There are 30 multiple choice questions available.
Award
Successful candidates will get the RSPH's or CIEH (Chartered Institution of Environmental Health) for Level-2 Award in Food Safety in Catering Certificate.
